Scientific Games Corporation (Nasdaq: SGMS) today announced that Lauralyn McCarthy, Vice President, Strategic Projects, has received the 2013 Nevada Alumni Association Professional Achievement Award. The award is given each year to an alumnus/alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno with an outstanding record of career accomplishments.

In January 2013, Scientific Games entered into an agreement to acquire WMS Industries Inc., a leading gaming machine supplier. This acquisition, which remains subject to approvals by gaming regulatory authorities and other customary closing conditions, would combine leading companies in the gaming and lottery industries to form a global gaming company offering innovative content, world-class technology and industry-leading services.
“On behalf of Scientific Games, we congratulate Lauralyn and feel very fortunate to have her on our team,” said Bill Huntley, Executive Vice President and CEO, Systems at Scientific Games. “This is terrific news and very much deserved through her hard work, dedication and many accomplishments in the gaming industry.”
