Is This Site for You?

This web site is dedicated to the women and men who operate the world's 200+ legal state operated lotteries. We have spent a career researching, writing and reporting on the global lottery industry.

There is little information that the average lottery player would find of value. The statistics we collect are by and large countable numbers audited by professionals collected and published by us. We primarily track information on lottery sales, prizes and net profit to government, advertising budgets and game design--both for TLF Publications' annual books (such as La Fleur's World Lottery Almanac) and our monthly magazine (La Fleur's Magazine).

Gaming Laboratories International To Hold 12th North American Roundtable This February in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (January 31, 2013) – Emerging technologies take center stage as Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s leading gaming testing laboratory and technical consultancy, presents its 12th North American Roundtable February 27 and 28 at the Flamingo Las Vegas. GLI expects more than 300 regulators from across North America and the Caribbean to attend.

Bally Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Srinivasan will deliver the keynote address to open the conference.

Leading global experts from across the gaming industry will appear at the two-day event speaking on today’s most relevant topics concerning emerging technology and their impact on the modern gaming operation. Topics in the general session include cloud computing and online systems; live sports betting and wagering; operational security silos; persistent browser-based gaming; social gaming regulation; and regulating the bridge between brick-and-mortar operations and online operations.

In addition to the informative general sessions, special hands-on learning modules will discuss cloud gaming and third-party audit/certification; compliance in 2013; and GLI’s newest exclusive technology, GLiCloudSM.

GLI President/CEO James Maida said, “For 12 years, regulators in jurisdictions everywhere in North America have relied on our Roundtable for an honest and expert account of how today’s technologies will impact their jurisdictions. We are very pleased with our schedule this year, and we are confident that the more than 300 regulators we will welcome to the event will find that, once again, our Roundtable will be an incredibly useful resource.”

The North American Roundtable is produced through GLI’s world-renowned training program GLI University®. GLI University is nominated as “The Educational Development Programme of the Year in the Land-based Casino Sector” in the Totally Gaming Awards 2013.
