Pollard Banknote Awarded Exclusive Contract for Instant Tickets by Lotería Nacional de la República Dominicana, Conafra
WINNIPEG, Manitoba, September 18, 2012 /CNW/ – Pollard Banknote Limited (TSX: PBL) (Pollard Banknote) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an exclusive contract for the supply of instant tickets to Lotería Nacional de la República Dominicana (Lotería Nacional), the national lottery of the Dominican Republic, and its operator CONAFRA. This new contract builds upon Pollard Banknote’s growing portfolio of Latin American clients.
Following a previous agreement between Pollard Banknote and CONAFRA dating back to 2009, this arrangement begins a new 10‐year agreement upon which Pollard Banknote will enhance its relationship with Lotería Nacional and CONAFRA until the end of 2022. As sole instant ticket supplier, Pollard Banknote will also provide value‐added services including strategic planning, marketing support, and game design expertise. “Pollard Banknote is eager to strengthen our relationships with Lotería Nacional and CONAFRA. A primary objective of Lotería Nacional and CONAFRA is to strengthen social welfare in the Dominican Republic by generating resources for various social organizations that benefit the most vulnerable citizens. Another important goal includes training the retail and sales force with best practices on how to increase instant ticket sales.
