Is This Site for You?

This web site is dedicated to the women and men who operate the world's 200+ legal state operated lotteries. We have spent a career researching, writing and reporting on the global lottery industry.

There is little information that the average lottery player would find of value. The statistics we collect are by and large countable numbers audited by professionals collected and published by us. We primarily track information on lottery sales, prizes and net profit to government, advertising budgets and game design--both for TLF Publications' annual books (such as La Fleur's World Lottery Almanac) and our monthly magazine (La Fleur's Magazine).

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Expands U.S. Development Staff Again

LAS VEGAS (June 20, 2012) – Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s leading technical consulting and independent certification laboratory, has again expanded its professional development team. Earlier this year, GLI added four development team members, and now the company is welcoming Amanda Hawkins and Cindy Nguyen to the growing team.

Both Hawkins and Nguyen are based in GLI’s Las Vegas lab. Hawkins works primarily with clients in Nevada, and Nguyen works primarily with clients in the Western states.

“We are excited to welcome Amanda and Cindy to our team of professionals as a part of our aggressive expansion of personnel in Nevada,” said GLI General Counsel and Senior Director of Government Relations and Development Kevin Mullally. “Amanda’s extensive experience in the Las Vegas and Reno communities will augment GLI’s ability to serve its Nevada-based manufacturers, operators and technology providers as well as the Nevada Gaming Control Board. She will also assist in GLI’s increasing involvement in Nevada’s community affairs. Cindy adds to our tribal gaming development team by bringing her many years of tribal gaming regulatory experience, particularly in the areas of audit and technology oversight. We are confident Cindy will add tremendous value to the services GLI provides to its tribal gaming clients.”

In her previous roles in advertising, Hawkins has worked with many companies in the gaming industry including such high-profile names as IGT and Mandalay Bay. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director of Advancement for a nationally recognized private high school in Las Vegas, where she became well known for her community relations and organizational skills. Hawkins is a Las Vegas native and holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Nevada-Reno.

Nguyen brings more than 10 years in tribal regulatory experience to GLI. She has served as Surveillance Agent and as Auditor Technician for the San Manuel Gaming Commission, where she conducted gaming machine audits, annual gaming machine testing, new game conversions, investigated patron disputes, onsite jackpot verifications and helped develop strong internal control procedures. Nguyen holds numerous technical certifications from various gaming equipment manufacturers.
