Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Approved as Certified Test Lab in Maryland
Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10:13AM LAKEWOOD, N.J. (June 21, 2012) – Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world’s leading private gaming testing laboratory and technical consultancy, has been approved as a certified test lab in the State of Maryland.
Previously GLI has been contracted by the State of Maryland to test the state’s central lottery system that monitors all VLT games, in addition to other lottery game testing. GLI has issued 6,077 certifications in Maryland since 1995.
The new certification requirement came about with a recent policy addition in Maryland requiring formal Commission approval of testing labs. The approval of GLI as a test lab by the Maryland Lottery means GLI will be able to continue to perform its high quality testing for the jurisdiction.
GLI is the only laboratory that has tested lottery central monitoring systems for VLTs in the United States, and Maryland will make the 18th such Lottery VLT system the company has tested in the U.S.
“We are thrilled to have attained approval by the Maryland Lottery to test the range of complex systems and equipment for land-based and iGaming components that comprise the gaming landscape in Maryland. We have been honored to have worked closely with the talented and experienced technical staff of the Maryland Lottery, who were primarily responsible for the seamless opening of the three VLT facilities currently operating in Maryland,” said GLI President and CEO James Maida.
GLI delivers the highest quality testing in the gaming industry. With nearly 750 employees working in 20 labs on six continents, GLI has at least four times more capacity and ability than any gaming test lab on the planet.
