Welcome to the first edition of LTV’s Ad Minute. Each month LTV will showcase a new lottery TV ad. In addition to featuring the new creative, LTV will put the spotlight on the lottery organization and its advertising agency to understand its creative strategy. This month’s LTV video features the Colorado Lottery’s new 60-second beneficiary ad.
Colorado Lottery Marketing Director Tom Cargal explains the lottery’s goals to highlight the natural treasures in the state through the ad’s breathtaking photography as well as help citizens understand that lottery profits are earmarked for parks and reservation, conservation and greater outdoors, among other programs.
Doug Kantor, Legislative Counsel, NACS, presented the views of the National Association of Conveniences Stores and its members of the policy issues involved in allowing gaming (in particular lotteries) on the Internet. NACS opposes allowing online lotteries due to the problems that arise relating to underage gaming, gaming addictions, and the impact on small businesses.
This week's LTV Digital Conference is the next installment Terri Markle interviewed prominent lottery retailers together with lottery officials on mutually beneficial ways to growth the lottery business.
