| And As If That Weren't Enough How About An Evening Of Elegance? | ||||||||||||||
|
La Fleur’s Magazine will host an Exclusive Event
at Oheka Castle on the evening of Tuesday, December 5. As the castle is a
private residence, there is limited space available. Preference will be
given to the conclave attendees who are registered first. Meticulously restored by entrepeneur Gary Melius, Oheka Castle is the quintessential architectural "Phoenix". Oheka Castle was the former home of Otto Hermann Kahn, a financier and
philanthropist who created this 443-acre estate. Its centerpiece, Oheka Castle, was a 126-room French Chateau that rose dramatically from the highest point on Long Island’s Gold Coast. |
Oheka was named using Otto Hermann Kahn’s name and first initials. Beautifully restored using the original landscape design of Frederick Olmstead, the estate grounds provide an idyllic, natural setting for special occasions and elegant events.
|
At the time of its construction, Oheka Castle
was, and still is today, the second largest private residence ever built in
America. When completed in 1921, it was described by the New York Times as
"the finest country estate in America".Oheka Castle has been featured in
People Magazine as the place where the rich and famous go.
