As Vice President of Online Marketing at Scientific Games, Leslie Badgermanages and directs the strategic marketing and planning of the draw game product line, associated promotions, and the optimization of the product’s placement at retail. She started her career with Scientific Games in 2002 as Regional Marketing Manager for New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Before joining Scientific Games, Leslie worked in the tele-communications industry in Canada for MTS as a Product Development. She also previously worked for another instant game printing vendor in an International Marketing Manager role focusing on Asia and Australia. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors), Marketing, University of Manitoba.

Brooke Christopher is the Communications Manager at the Colorado Lottery. She has held this position since September 2010. Prior to joining the Colorado Lottery, she was a Sr. Marketing Initiative Manager and Sr. Product Manager for Information Technology corporations ; Oracle, Sun Microsystems and StorageTek. Brooke is a graduate of North Carolina State University with dual Communications and Public Relations degrees.

In March 2010, Tracey Cohen assumed the post of Chief Operating Officer at the D.C. Lottery, marking the latest achievement in a decorated career that has spanned over 15 years in sales and marketing. Tracey forged her lottery career at the Maryland State Lottery, where she worked for 10 years. Previously, she was Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Restaurant Association of Maryland. She began her career as an Assistant Account Executive at Trahan, Burden and Charles, an advertising and public relations firm. Tracey has a Master of Public and International Affairs degree from the University of Pittsburg, where she also received her Bachelor of Arts degree.

Donavon (Don) Coleman is the Manager, Big Play Products at Western Canada Lottery Corporation. He has worked at the lottery since December 1997 in various positions. In his current position, he manages Big Play products (C$244 million in sales in fiscal 2011). He received a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and General Business) from University Of Saskatchewan. He is a Communications and Advertising Accredited Professional (CAAP).

Margaret Requa DeFrancisco was selected in December 2003 as the President/CEO of the Georgia Lottery Corporation following 10 years in public service in state and county government in New York which included heading the New York Lottery. Since coming to Georgia, her focus has been on growing the sales of a very successful lottery, whose profits have supported the HOPE Scholarship and Pre-Kindergarten programs, directly impacting over 2 million students in Georgia. Margaret holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the State University of New York.

Michele Eichhorn started at the Illinois Lottery in product development and currently serves as Chief Operations Officer. Her focus has been developing operations that are maintained by the Illinois Lottery following an industry-first restructuring initiative that is transforming the Illinois Lottery into an innovative organization through a partnership with the Northstar Lottery Group. Some operations that are managed by the Lottery team include claims, licensing, finance, security, drawings and related technology. Michele’s background includes management roles in the financial securities industry as well as roles with Fortune 500 firms in manufacturing and other service industries. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in Finance and Communications from Loyola University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Operations Management from DePaul University.

As Chief Creative Officer, Dan Fietsam brings 20 years of creative firepower to Energy BBDO. During the course of his creative career, his ideas have made an impact for clients ranging from non-profits to blue chip brands. For T-Mobile, he led the creation of the “Who’s in your Fave 5?” campaign with Dwyane Wade and Charles Barkley. Working on Sears, he created the “Where Else?” campaign that was recognized as the Retail Campaign of the Year by Advertising Age. Dan served as a creative on Bud Light for three years, writing and creative directing Super Bowl classics like “Magic Fridge” and “Rubber Floor.” His work for BudTV.com generated “Swear Jar,” which became a viral hit and an Emmy Award winner. Working with Dell, he created the cyber campaign featuring “six finger clay,” which became one of the first cyber award winners at Cannes.

Alice Garland served as deputy executive director for legislative and corporate communications for the North Carolina Education Lottery at start up in December 2005 and became the executive director in 2010. For more than 25 years, she has served in executive posts handling governmental affairs and communications within state and local government in North Carolina. Garland, a native of Greeneville, Tenn., has lived in Raleigh for over 40 years. She received a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jane Victor Golden was appointed the Acting Superintendent of the Illinois Lottery in August 2011. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Illinois Lottery which includes: strategic planning, operational management, oversight of all departments, and building relationships with key leaders across the state. He has been a member of the Illinois Lottery’s senior leadership team since 2008 serving as the Deputy Superintendent. Before joining state government, Golden held several senior positions with Kellogg’s Snacks and Coca-Cola Bottling Company accounting for over 15 years experience in product development, operations, developing and implementing business strategies. Victor holds a (MBA) in Business Administration from Governor’s State University, a B.A. in Business Management from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and a Project Management Certification from Loyola University.

Jane Gregory is the Account Director for the Georgia Lottery account where she is responsible for managing a multi-agency roster to deliver a fully integrated service solution comprising strategic planning and consumer insights, creative development, media planning and buying, Hispanic marketing, customer relationship marketing, shopper marketing, online marketing and experiential marketing. Jane has over 16 years of experience in international marketing communications. Before joining BBDO Atlanta, Jane worked as the account lead on the Irish national electricity utility at McConnell’s Advertising. In addition to utility experience, Jane has worked in banking, broadcast, food and FMCG brands. Jane holds a BA in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University.

Jane Emily Ginzl serves as the Account Supervisor for the Arizona Lottery account where she leads and manages a full service agency team in the strategic planning, development and execution of the annual integrated marketing plan. She also leads collaboration with the Arizona Lottery’s multicultural advertising partner, Lopez Negrete Communications. The majority of her 13-year career has been within advertising agencies servicing accounts primarily in the tourism industry. Additionally, two of her career highlights include working with the Arizona Super Bowl XLII Host Committee and leading the naming project for Coca-Cola’s Full Throttle energy drink. Emily is a proud Wisconsin native and Arizona State University grad.

Gary Grief was appointed Executive Director of the Texas Lottery Commission in March 2010. Grief is a 20-year lottery veteran. He has been an integral part of the success of the Texas Lottery Commission since its inception. Grief was appointed in 1991 by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts to the original eight-member Lottery Task Force assigned to research and launch the Texas Lottery. In 2002, Grief was appointed by the Commission to serve the first of what would be three separate terms as Acting Executive Director. Between and after each stint as Acting Executive Director, Grief served as Deputy Executive Director until his official appointment as Executive Director in 2010. A native Texan, Grief is a graduate of the University of Texas at the Permian Basin where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Susan Golightly has been with the Hoosier Lottery as Director of Marketing since January 2007. Her responsibilities include business research and analysis, instant and draw game product management, public relations, marketing communications, promotions, digital initiatives, sponsorship & events, and at-retail marketing. She has more than 20 years of marketing experience in the retail, packaged goods, and business-to-business industries. Throughout much of her career, she worked for clients such as: P&G, Pepsi, General Electric, Mead and Quaker on local, regional and national integrated marketing, product launch, and loyalty initiatives. She also gained significant retail channel experience.

Best known for innovative and engaging marketing, he has staged some of the most unique experiences in the Lottery industry, including Super Bowl sized NFL halftimes, TV Specials, promotional stunts, and even an American Idol style star-studded Talent Search contest and 90 minute TV special. Prior to joining the Georgia Lottery, James served as the Chief Marketing Officer for the Florida Lottery. He has also served in senior management with Walt Disney World and The Athlete’s Foot retail chain..

Tim Matusch is an Associate Partner at Oliver Wyman, based in New York. He counts a number of lotteries and gaming operators in North America among his clients. He recently managed the OW team serving the State of Illinois in their Private Manager Transaction. Charles McIntyre was appointed Executive Director of the New Hampshire Lottery Commission in June 2010. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Executive Director and General Counsel for the Massachusetts State Lottery, possessing extensive experience in gaming best practices and gambling regulation as well as law enforcement. Before joining the Massachusetts Lottery in 2003, McIntyre was a senior prosecutor with the Norfolk District Attorney’s office in Massachusetts. McIntyre received his undergraduate degree from Connecticut College and his law degree from Suffolk University.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of GTECH Corporation, Connie Laverty O’Connor helps to drive the overall strategic direction of the Company while providing strong leadership and direction to the marketing function. She is responsible for the review and enhancement of marketing processes, measurements, and information systems that are necessary to operate effectively and achieve business objectives. Connie also identifies market trends and long-range market opportunities for product development, content development, sales, and potential acquisitions. Prior to joining GTECH in April 2006, Laverty O’Connor served as Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Lottery Corporation. Prior to that, she spent more than 30 years with the New York Lottery; her final 14 years there were spent as Director of Marketing and Sales. Laverty O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from Empire State College in Albany, New York, and a Master of Arts degree in English and Psychology from State University of New York at Albany.

As President and CEO of GTECH Corporation, Jaymin Patel is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the Company. He works directly with GTECH's and Lottomatica's management teams to execute the Company's vision in the continuous effort to deliver value to its customers, shareholders, and employees. In May 2007, Patel was named President and Chief Operating Officer of GTECH, and was appointed a member of the Lottomatica Board of Directors in November 2007. During his seven years as Chief Financial Officer of GTECH, Patel was instrumental in driving growth across the business, leading several mergers and acquisitions, cost optimization initiatives, and substantially improving the capital efficiency of the Company. Patel's tenure as the CFO culminated in his leading the cross-border financing for the Lottomatica acquisition of GTECH. Patel joined GTECH in July of 1994, after approximately five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. Patel holds a BA (honors) degree from Birmingham Polytechnic (UK), and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, London.

In 2011, Doug Pollard was named Co-Chief Executive Officer of Pollard Banknote, assuming overall responsibility for the marketing and sales functions. He oversees all activities related to contract performance. Previously, Doug held the role of Vice President, Lottery Management Services, and was actively involved in the company’s lottery management efforts in Michigan, Maryland, Arizona, Saskatchewan, and Puerto Rico.
From 1997 to 1999, Doug served as the General Manager of Imprimerie Speciale de Banque, a subsidiary of Pollard Banknote based in Paris, France. Doug holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba.

Jessica Powell, Vice-President of Marketing and Advertising for the Northstar Lottery Group, is an 18-year veteran of the marketing industry and specialist in the gaming and hospitality categories. She has worked with such notable industry leaders as the New York Lottery, Walt Disney World Resorts, MGM Resorts International and Cathay Pacific Airways and has experience in every facet of the gaming category including state lotteries, Las Vegas mega-resorts, dockside and riverboat casinos and Indian gaming properties. Jessica is the author of “Beyond Myopic Marketing” and “Finding Opportunity in Troubled Times” which was featured in the April 2009 edition of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association’s Marketing Review.

Terry Rich was appointed Iowa Lottery CEO in February 2009 by Iowa’s Governor. Prior to that, he was CEO of Iowa’s Blank Park Zoo, President and CEO of Rich Heritage, Inc., a national marketing and television production company producing shows for HBO, ESPN and Comcast, and Vice President of Marketing for Heritage Communications, Inc. He has won numerous entrepreneur awards in television production and marketing. Rich has a BS in Speech from Iowa State University. He is a member of the ISU Board of Governors.

Buddy Roogow was named Executive Director of the D.C. Lottery in December 2009. Roogow started in the lottery industry when he was named Maryland Lottery Director in October 1996. Before joining the lottery industry ranks, Roogow was appointed in 1991 by Maryland Gov. William Donald Schaefer to Director of Operations for the Governor’s Office. Subsequently, Gov. Parris Glendening appointed him Deputy Chief of Staff in 1995. Immediately preceding his career in Maryland state government, Roogow served as Chief Administrative Officer of the Howard County Government from 1988 to 1991. Roogow received Bachelor’s and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Maryland.

May Scheve Reardon has served as the executive director of the Missouri Lottery since December 2009. As the first woman to hold this position, Reardon brings extensive leadership experience from the financial, nonprofit and government sectors, including serving 12 years as a Missouri state representative. Reardon previously worked as an assistant vice president at Regions Morgan Keegan, a private wealth management firm in St. Louis, and she was also director of development at the Richard A. Gephardt Institute for Public Service at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, Reardon taught political science and communications at Webster University from 2005 – 2009. Reardon holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Saint Louis University and a master’s degree in communications from Webster University.

Paul Sternburg was named Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery in January 2011, making him the 10th director since the Lottery’s inception in 1971. Prior to his appointment, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Connecticut Lottery Corporation since 2007. During his three years with the CLC, he implemented innovative marketing programs and introduced successful new games that helped boost the quasi-public organization’s sales to record levels. Prior to joining the CLC, Paul spent more than a decade at the Massachusetts Lottery, serving as Director of Sales and before that as Assistant Director of Regional Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the University of Rhode Island.

Elaine has spent her entire career of more than 30 years with Loto-Québec. A graduate in Mathematics from the Université de Sherbrooke, her path led her to various positions during her career. From Statistical Analyst to Product Manager, Development and Market Studies Director, Advertising Director: she is currently Director of Products. In this role, she oversees the work of the 10 employees (mostly product managers) responsible for the development of all lottery games (the instant, online and passive). She is appreciated for her capacity to stimulate the creativity of her team. Her overall sense of logic and her talent with numbers has drawn the respect from fellow Canadian product development teams.

| Jodie Winnett

Acting Superintendent, Illinois Lottery

Since 2007, Jodie Winnett has served as the Acting Superintendent of the Illinois Lottery. She has played a central role in crafting an evolving strategy to maximize the value of the State’s unique lottery asset. The Illinois Lottery recently executed the first public-private, revenue-sharing management agreement for day-to-day operations. The deal will increase proceeds to the State by an estimated $1 billion over five years. Prior to joining the Department of Revenue, she founded World Business Chicago, a public-private partnership that markets the Chicago region as a business location. She also spent five years at the City of Chicago where she worked on numerous projects to improve business regulation and processes. Winnett holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in political science from James Madison University in Virginia.

Acting Deputy Commissioner, Michigan Lottery

Tom Weber has been the head of the Michigan Lottery’s Marketing and Sales staff since January 2001. He has also held the position of Acting Lottery Commissioner. His primary responsibilities in that position are the oversight of sales, promotions, advertising and new product development for all the Lottery’s games. Prior to this current role, he was the Lottery’s Instant Games Product Manager for over seven years where he developed over 300 of the Lottery’s instant games. Before joining the Lottery in 1993, Weber was employed at several different Detroit-area marketing and advertising agencies as an account executive and writer. He graduated from Miami University with a BA degree.
